For the first time since the launch of the Apple Watch, it will be now sold within an electronics store. Beginning August 7th, Best Buy will begin carrying the Apple watch in 100 of its stores.
By end of November nearly 300 Best Buy’s will have the lucrative watch which is a very small number compared to their 1,400 stores and locations.
“The Apple Watch is a big addition to our stores and website, and we know our customers want it,” said Jason Bonfig, senior category officer at Best Buy. “We are excited to bring the Apple Watch to more consumers, especially with the holidays coming up.”
Best Buy will give customers the option to try and buy 16 Apple Watch models and band choices, including both the Sport and Watch models in 38mm and 42mm sizes. They will also stock over 50 accessories ranging from bands, screen shields, stands, chargers and more.
The Apple Watch Sport starts at $349 and the Apple Watch at $549 and go up depending on the band purchased with it. Will Best Buy be Apple’s saving grace to help increase slumping sales?
