LED’s are taking over american homes and are showing up in every new appliance, lighting fixture, and handheld gadgets as well. The LED light costs way less to operate, generates less heat in most cases, and is coming down in price greatly. Last week we reviewed the Technolamp LED WiFi Controller Set which is a great starter kit for WiFi lighting. Today, we are going to take a look at the Technolamp Wi-Fi Enabled LED Strip lighting which has tons of different uses and applications.
The LED WiFi strip lighting seems to make it easy to light up and accent places where lighting is either hard to install, hard to get to, or perhaps areas that are dark but don’t support standard lighting options. Some examples of this would be, outdoor railings, indoor/outdoor understep lighting, under counter lighting, or even under kitchen cabinet lighting.
One of the best features of the Technolamp LED Strip Kit is that its WiFi enabled and works with existing Technolamp WiFi controller products. This makes integration so simple, a cave man could do it.

The WiFi controller which comes with the LED Strip lighting kit from Technolamp can be seen below. It’s very small, about the size of a business card and comes with double-sided stick tape for ease of installation.
On one side of the WiFi LED controller you will find the input plug for the power adapter. You will also see two other slots for hard wiring your very own power. This accepts +12V input DC so if you are a DIYer with some basic electrical knowledge you could easily extend the reach of your power to your lighting kit by running small wires to the controller, closer to where AC power is located.
On the opposite side of the WiFi LED controller you’ll find the connections for the LED strip lighting. We’ll be using three of these to wire-in the strip lighting to the controller. You could also easily extend the reach by extending the wiring on the end of the LED strip lighting to give you any length you need to reach AC power with this controller box. Again, a little DIY goes a long way here.
Below is a look at the power adapter that comes with the kit. Nothing special here. Plug one end into the wall outlet, the other end goes into the Power supply and then the cable already attached the power supply plugs directly into your LED WiFi controller (round slot).
The 16 feet LED strip lighting comes rolled up on a wheel and also comes with pre-installed double sided tape for ease of installation.
