Twitter Removes Customized Backgrounds – Saving Costs

In a move to perhaps to save on bandwidth, Twitter has removed the background images from user profiles, causing an uproar with its users across the globe.

It’s not known why Twitter has made the move to eliminate the customized background image on their home or notification screen pages but the powers that be, has done so and without warning.

The customized background images are still visible on tweet pages, list pages and collection pages for logged-in users only. Without reason, I am sticking to the fact that they are looking to reduce bandwidth charges and as a result reduces the costs of running Twitter.

What do you think about the latest Twitter change?
