Google Nexus 6P Smartphone Shipments Delayed With Silver Lining

Hopefully you weren’t too excited about getting the new Google Nexus 6P smartphone because Google announced today that the phone has been delayed. According to reports, purchasers of the new handset began sending out emails this morning that their shipments would be delayed until next month. If there were any good news in the delay, Google is offering $25 bucks back to purchasers to help make the disappointing news.. well less disappointing.

The Google Nexus 6P (codenamed Angler) is an Android based phone that offers a 5.7-inch AMOLED display, bio metric fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, USB Type-C plug for easy charging, and of course Android 6.0 Marshmallow for your sweet tooth!

Powering the Nexus6P is the 3450mAh battery which uses USB Type-C charging. Why is Type-C so significant? Well, it enables the phone to be charged twice as fast as the iPhone 6S Plus for one but it also enables you to plug in the USB connector in either direction, which makes fumbling around with the connector cable a thing of the past.

The Nexus 6P smartphone is the first one to be manufacture by a Chinese OEM, Huawei. We can speculate that perhaps the manufacture was slower to the market than they originally thought, but nobody knows for sure why the delay in shipments has happened, except for Google.

As sweet as the phone sounds, we all must still wait patiently for Google to begin shipping the new phone. Hopefully the $25 refund will help offset your disappointment, right?
