Facebook owned, WhatsApp has just confirmed that they have reached the 900 million users in a month milestone.
WhatsApp is an instant messaging or chatting app for smartphones and was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, both former employee’s of Yahoo. Ironically, the both once applied for a job at Facebook but were rejected.
Facebook paid $19 billion for the company back in February of 2014 and the growth and popularity of the App has multiplied since then. They saw 500 million users in April of 2014, 600 million users by August 2014, and recently 800 million users this past April. Could they hit a billion users by end of year?
